## Understanding Your Billing Statement
Upon receiving your billing statement, it’s essential to understand that it reflects the account activity as of the bill date. Any subsequent payments or charges after the bill date will be shown on the account and billing activity page in real-time.
## UVM Health Insurance Charges
If your billing statement includes a charge for UVM Health Insurance, and you already have health insurance, you can complete the health insurance waiver form on the UVM Center for Health and Wellbeing website to have the charge removed.
## Financial Aid Resources
The current activity section of your bill will display charges and payments from financial aid resources already applied to your account, such as UVM aid like grants and scholarships. The pending section shows aid resources expected to pay but not yet applied.
## Disbursement Dates and Payment Methods
Financial aid resources like federal Direct loans and grants are scheduled to pay on August 16th for the fall semester. To make payments, online options are recommended for immediate application to your account. ECheck payments are fee-free, while credit card payments have a 2.85% processing fee.
## Payment Plan Options
