Woman arrested in multi-million dollar credit repair scheme

Investigation uncovers $3 million scheme

Harris County Precinct 4 investigators say they have uncovered a $3 million credit repair scheme happening in Houston. They say the woman behind it was using falsified police reports to help get her clients better credit.

Arrest and allegations

29-year-old Rakisha Brisbee was led in front of a judge after being arrested for what investigators call a multi-million dollar credit repair scheme. More and more people are coming forward, claiming they used her services to try to fix their credit. Investigators say she manipulated police reports and court documents to increase her clients’ credit scores.

Illegal activities

Under the guise of her business « Rose Credit Repair, » Brisbee allegedly falsified police reports to improve her clients’ credit scores. She submitted police reports on behalf of her clients, claiming that the money spent was fraud or stolen. This led to financial institutions reversing the credit for these individuals, ultimately boosting their credit scores.

Lengthy investigation

Constable Mark Herman says that a lengthy investigation uncovered 133 falsified police reports from his department alone. There is evidence that Brisbee also used reports from other agencies. The FBI is now involved in the case, and many of her bank accounts have been flagged for further investigation to determine how much money she made off her customers in Houston.
