Hey guys, Mark here from R for Christ. Welcome back folks! Today, I want to help my brothers and sisters understand the importance of rising up in the authority that God has given us. In a recent message, we talked about responding to the attacks that the enemy has launched against the people of God. It’s crucial that we don’t just passively observe the evil and wickedness in the world, but instead, respond with authority and power.
## Waging a Spiritual Battle
The enemy wants us to focus on the physical manifestations of evil – our neighbors, people who mistreat us, and those who speak ill of us. However, the real battle is a spiritual one. We must understand that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness. To achieve victory, we must confront the root of the problem – the spiritual forces behind the individuals causing harm.
## The Power of Prayer
As believers in Jesus Christ, we have been given delegated authority to stand against the devil and his minions. The battle is fought on our knees, in prayer and intercession. Instead of complaining about the evil in the world, we are called to go on the offensive in prayer. By warring against the kingdom of darkness, we can see breakthrough and victory in our lives and communities.
## Declaration of Victory
I encourage you to engage in spiritual warfare by using the Word of God as your weapon. Here is a simple declaration you can use to counter the enemy’s attacks:
« In the name of Jesus, I resist you Satan. I come against you with the powerful blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I declare that Jesus is Lord of my spirit, soul, and body. By His stripes, I am healed and delivered from every curse. I have the mind of Christ, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. »
Let us rise up in the authority given to us by God and wage war against the forces of darkness. Through prayer and declaration of faith, we can overcome the evil in this world and see God’s kingdom come.
