# Try Not to Cry – The dog who had been dumped due deadly diseases, stunned everyone & the tearful end
## A heartbreaking abandonment
Once I discovered that the owners of Magrela had abandoned her after finding out she was sick, I was incredulous. How could someone be so cruel to abandon such a faithful companion as if she were a disposable trash? This made me question the lack of heart in people who can turn their backs on those who have shown them love and loyalty.
## A devastating diagnosis
Unfortunately, the veterinarian explained the harsh reality of Magrela’s situation. She had been diagnosed with distemper, a disease transmitted by ticks, and demodectic mange. Each of these conditions is severe, with distemper being particularly devastating as there is no cure. It all depends on the dog’s will to fight and survive, but only a few dogs manage to make it. In Magrela’s case, the veterinarian declared her chances were slim due to the weakened state caused by the tick-borne disease and mange.
## A fight for survival
Despite everything, I refused to give up on Magrela. I made sure she ate well and bought medications for her illnesses. My goal was to strengthen her as much as possible so she could battle distemper.
## A miraculous transformation
Look at her now! Can you believe it’s the same dog from just two months ago who was on the brink of death? It’s incredible to see her transformation. Despite the obstacles against her, she showed remarkable resilience and strength. She managed to fight distemper and healed from all her other diseases! She has become so energetic and full of life! Her coat has become thick and shiny, reflecting her health and vitality.
## A new beginning
I became so attached to her that I decided to adopt her. Now, after everything she’s been through, she spends her days playing and filling the air with joyous barks. It’s comforting to see her leave her painful past behind and embrace her loving home. I’m grateful that she will never be abandoned again and can enjoy a happy and fulfilling life.
