The user called « gsipkoi » was listening to songs on his old portable radio and put his VCR to record the songs. After playing a song called « Never Ending Story » by the British singer Limahl, the next song that played would become one of the biggest searches of the Lost Wave community of the internet. The music discovery began around the early 1990s, but it is heavily speculated that this happened in 1993.

Years later, in 2014, a user named « Peter » reposted the 30-second snippet of the mysterious song on the site SpiritOfTheRadio. This sparked more interest in finding out the origin of the song. Various clues and speculations led to dead ends, but the search continued.

Different theories and clues emerged, including a possible connection to the Canadian band Red Sector One and a singer named Valentino. However, each lead was eventually ruled out, leaving the members of the search shaken and hopeless.

He discovered that the song belonged to a producer named « Edde Valcan » and that the vocals belonged to a guy named « Sérgio Dourado. » This new lead reignited hope among the search members that they might finally solve the mystery of the mysterious song « Fond My Mind. »
